Luckily, this Apple Cinnamon {Instant Oatmeal} Crumble is a small-batch recipe, incredibly easy and comes together in less than 30 minutes.
The apples turn sweet and tender as they bake, coated in cinnamon, honey goodness. Then the instant oatmeal crumble comes out golden brown and delicious.
What ingredients do I need?
Because this recipe makes two servings, it only needs a few simple ingredients:
- 1 packet of Instant Oatmeal – apple cinnamon flavor (or regular)
- 1 apple
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 4 Tbsp honey
- Optional topping: whipped cream or vanilla ice cream
How do I make Apple Cinnamon {Instant Oatmeal} Crumble?
Step 1: Chop apple into small bite sized pieces.
Step 2: In a bowl, combine the chopped apples with cinnamon, cornstarch and 2 Tbsp of honey. Stir together then spoon the mixture into two ramekins.
Step 3: In a separate bowl, mix together instant oatmeal with remaining 2 Tbsp of honey. Spoon the oatmeal on top of the apple mixture. Bake at 350 degrees F for 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
Step 4: Carefully remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving. Top with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
Can I use other fruits?
Of course! The possibilities are endless for this recipe. Swap out the apples for blueberries or a combination of a few different fruits. Pop it in the oven and wait for the delicious smell to fill your home!
